COLT is running full steam ahead with apprentice and journeyman refresher classes, and even facilitated its first underground locating workshop with positive results and reviews and saving our member systems from high course costs. But the biggest news is that we soon hope to hire a fourth full-time instructor as this has now been approved by the board. This is an important move that will allow COLT to continue to offer training at a very high level while offering some of its other services such as the COLT Onsite Lineworker Development (COLD) program. On another note, cohorts will soon be running at a true 4-year clip, with each of the new groups completing their final class at times that coincide with original start dates, eliminating complications that can occur when running the apprenticeship longer than four years.
