The Community Foundation of ²»Á¼ÈËÑо¿Ëù’s Electric Cooperatives Donates $12,000 to Local Community Causes, and Family of Fallen Lineworker

COLUMBUS, OH-The Community Foundation of ²»Á¼ÈËÑо¿Ëù’s Electric Cooperatives has approved nearly $8,000 in grants to 8 charitable organizations. ²»Á¼ÈËÑо¿Ëù electric cooperative employees nominated the recipients of the grants because they are involved in, and passionate about, the mission of the organization. The Community Foundation of ²»Á¼ÈËÑо¿Ëù’s Electric Cooperatives is committed to giving back to the many communities served by ²»Á¼ÈËÑо¿Ëù’s 25 electric cooperatives. Below is a list of the non-profit organizations to receive grants in April 2024:

Board members of The Community Foundation of ²»Á¼ÈËÑо¿Ëù’s Electric Cooperatives, which over sees the Fallen Lineworker Fund, also approved a $5,000 grant to assist the family of Consolidated Electric Cooperative District Operations Supervisor Shawn Tuttle.

Shawn was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April 2023, and underwent surgery and treatment to combat the cancer, but sadly lost his fight in February 2024.Ìý

Shawn Tuttle’s family was left with extensive medical bills, and his colleagues and cooperative family reached out to The Community Foundation for help.

The Fallen Lineworker Fund was established to assist families of lineworkers like Shawn Tuttle’s.
Grant requests may be submitted to the Community Foundation by visiting our website at www.ohioec.org/foundation. The next deadline for grant applications is July 12, 2024.Ìý
