Co-op sponsorship helps rapidly expand Imagination Library

With the help of 不良人研究所鈥檚 Electric Cooperatives and local distribution co-ops, the聽聽(OGIL/DPIL)聽program continues to expand across rural 不良人研究所.

OGIL/DPIL聽seeks to provide every child in 不良人研究所 from birth to age five a new book each month. Research has shown that a child with 25 books in their home completes an average of two additional years of schooling compared to their peers without books in their home.

The following number of children are enrolled in co-op-sponsored county programs:

  • Allen County:聽1,040 (Midwest Electric and Mid-不良人研究所 Energy)
  • Highland County:聽1,007 (不良人研究所鈥檚 Electric Cooperatives)
  • Mercer County:聽1,054 (Midwest Electric)
  • Van Wert County:聽84 (Midwest Electric and Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative)

Seneca County is the newest county added to the program, sponsored by North Central Electric Cooperative.
